Ryan Calais Cameron

Co-Founder and Artistic Director

Ryan Calais Cameron is an award winning Writer, Actor and Theatre Maker. For Nouveau Riche Ryan has written QUEENS OF SHEBA (co-written with Jessica Hagan) and TYPICAL (starring Richard Blackwood) sell-out hits at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018 and 2019 respectively, winning The Stage Edinburgh Fringe Award. He is an alumnus of the Royal Court writer’s Supergroup and the Soho writers’ group. Currently Ryan is under commission to the Royal Court Theatre and has a number of projects in development with theatre and  television companies.

Shavani Cameron

Co-Founder 

Shavani Cameron is a critically acclaimed Actress and Producer at Nouveau Riche. Shavani Co-Founded the company with Ryan and has been involved in Producing and facilitating on Queens of Sheba (Edinburgh and New Diorama) TYPICAL and The Brand Nouveau Initiative2020.

Ewa Dina 

Associate Director 

Ewa Dina self describes as an artist of social change; she is interested in work that amplifies the voices of traditionally marginalised and stigmatised communities and individuals. Ewa trained at Rose Bruford, studying their BA Acting course and is also a member of the National Youth Theatre. She is a performer, director, facilitator and poet. Currently, she is 1/5 of 'No Table', Theatre Peckham's new in-house resident theatre company and also works as a facilitator for Company Three.

Sarah Jordan Verghese

Producer

Sarah Jordan Verghese is a South Asian Producer creating community-focused productions which aims to effect positive change to our society. She is excited by work that is culturally and political relevant, engages new audiences and is widely accessible. She is currently the Creative Producer at GymJam Theatre and Assistant Producer at Zoo Co. Her projects include How to Build a Wax Figure, Pleasance 2022, I'm just a little bit OCD London Tour 2022, Fester Camden Fringe Festival 2021, and Every Sinner has a Future Kensington and Chelsea Festival & Golden Goose 2021. 

Joshua Boyd-Campbell 

Creative Producer

Joshua is an enthusiastic and ambitious producer at Nouveau Riche, with a strong passion and desire for incorporating all round diversity. Having been a key integral member of Nouveau Riche from the start, Joshua has worked on numerous projects for the company (Queens Of Sheba, TIMBUKTU, TYPICAL, MOTSWAKWA: Foreigner to name a few) as well as lead the Brand Nouveau Initiative program, championing and providing opportunity for new up and coming artists creating a platform both on stage and screen in the UK entertainment industry.

Jacob Roberts-Mensah

Creative Producer

Jacob is a Ghanaian-British creative producer, he has worked with organisations including the V&A, Livity, Sound Connections and Richmix and is the co-creator and producer of DEM TIMES, a coming-of-age fiction podcast. Jacob is extremely passionate about Ghana, the arts and young people and would love to add value in the UK and abroad.

As a producer for Nouveau Riche, Jacob has been a part of 'For Black Boys who have considered suicide when the hue was too heavy' (Boundless/Battersea Arts Centre).
