Ten years on from the death of their best mate, Tony, three friends Danny, Charlotte, and Temi, now all in their late-20s are confronted by the choices they did or didn’t make. During its sold out, unanimous four and five star run at The Brockley Jack Studio, Wasted received an Offie nomination for Best Performance Ensemble. Fast forward a year later, Wasted came back to stage at the Catford’s Broadway Theatre, produced by Mica Theatre in association with Nouveau Riche, with a new perspective from Director Toby Clarke. Written by Kae Tempest, an award-winning poet, writer, lyricist, performer, playwright, and recording artist with award-winning work. They have recieved Mercury Music Prize and Ivor Novello nominations, and have been named a Next Generation Poet in 2014, a once in a decade accolade, and received the Ted Hughes Award and the Leone D’Argento at the Venice Teatro Biennale for their work as a playwright.
